| About the Author...
Mary Montague Sikes (Monti to her friends) has a BA from Mary
Washington College and a MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
She has studied with such famed NY artists as Peter Saul and Diana Kurz,
California artists Jim La France and Elaine Harvey. Her art has been
exhibited at numerous galleries including Roanoke Museum of Fine
Art, Virginia Museum of Fin Arts, Johns Hopkins University and Piedmont
Arts Center.
Her writing has attracted just as many
salutations and awards as her art, and she has published articles in
Caribbean Beat, Buffalo News, Miami Herald and Newport
News Daily Press, among others.
