It starts raining
bullets one fall night in Portland, Oregon.
Jane Lanier, a local private
investigator, is having a hard time staying dry. A notorious client is shot in her office, her car is fried
and the body count is rising as fast as her credit card balance.
The
dead client had a secret to tell before someone put a bullet in his
throat.
And he was not the first to die this way. Now someone wants to
silence Jane –permanently.
Lanier races to find answers as a killer moves closer and the
truth seems to be sliding farther and farther away. |

King lives in Portland OR, also known as the City of Suspects.
She works in governmental relations.
She
serves on the Board of Governors for the Portland City Club, an
influential civic organization, and is a member of Sisters in Crime,
although she hasn’t committed any and gotten caught.
She
is currently writing her next Jane Lanier adventure which takes place
in the city of suspects –and Venice, Italy! |
